Okay, kateadelle, you and I are going to kick this community into gear even if it's just us in here.
My food budget is pretty lean these days, and I really need a kick in the ass to cook more. I'm not so far from TFF's ideals, but I ain't that close either. So, you and I (and anyone else who cares to jump in) are going to cook/eat better starting today, March 1.
If I was going to be home this weekend, I'd make bread. But I'm not, so I got some at Trader Joes instead.
And I've pretty much written off everything that's processed. A coworker gave me a 100-calorie pack of Oreos the other day, which seemed like a REALLY good idea. I felt like ASS after eating them. No more.
What else? Is there a place we can get recipes to try and share?
Lead me, guide me, O Wise Ones!
I've been watching a lot of Jacques Pepin's 'Fast Food My Way' series (check your local PBS listings) for ideas/inspiration. I also really enjoy 'Everyday Food' -- both the magazine and the PBS series. The websites for both those series have recipes from the shows as well.
